To Bean or Not To Bean

I think this is a very eye opening read on beans, pros and cons. Personally I'm coming to realize I've been over doing it on beans for the last couple yrs and my grandgirl is feeling this way too as she's "trying" not to eat animal protein...ummm...

This link is tucked in the RA post in the Arthritis group but thought it would be good info here too:

For me in particular it's about the high lectins in most beans. I first heard of lectins from the Blood Type book back about 20 yrs ago. But lectins have come up recently and I'm getting more interested.

Just talking to my 19 yr old grandgirl and she's so excited since eliminating GLUTEN big time..she's dealt with acne for 4-5 yrs and has done meds, peels, laser therapy but finally got to the gluten issue...she says her skin is acne free since eliminating glutens.

She says bloating is so reduced.

She's still eating some kidney beans and garbonzos and these are the least lectin culprits. I've been off most beans now about a week.
