Iodine deficiency

I just got some new blood work back and I have an iodine deficiency. Before I do my research to see if this is another piece to the puzzle of my disease, does anyone know of its relation to nerve damage or pathogens that can cause nerve damage?
My thyroid tests are normal by the way.

Did you see this post? I think I have another post here on Neuropathy and Iodine.

I've been taking daily Iodine for some yrs and never did the iodine test, just believed in my gut that I don't get enough iodine for my body tissues. There are books written today on this Iodine issue...Dr. Brownstein has a best seller now.

Americans are very low in sea food consumption. And the soils, forget it.

Bringing this up for those who probably missed it. I've been dosing with Iosol iodine for years, 6-7 yrs, can't remember for sure.

My nerve damage is from hip replacement surgery.
