Pink Vision in one eye

Hi Everyone,

I am a new member and joined to try to get information on behalf of my 8yo daughter. She has not as yet been diagnosed with any neurological condition but she has been displaying some very odd symptoms.

In early December she awoke with pronounced double vision. We were worried, but this resolved itself within 3 days. However, last Thursday she woke with pink vision in her right eye. This appears after eyes are static for a few seconds and disappears with eye movement but then comes back. It does not disappear when she closes her eyes.

She has been to the eye clinic and they say her eyes are perfectly healthy, therefore I'm wondering if this could be a neurological issue. Any help specifically on the pink issue would be much appreciated :)

Hello AJ,

I'm sorry to read of what is happening with you daughter. I imagine it would be very worrying.

When you went to the vision clinic did you see an actual Opthalmologist?

Does your daughter have any other health issues at all? No diabetes for example?

I'll leave the link to the Children's Health forum

and also this one below which might get more viewers.

General Health Conditions & Rare Disorders forum

Use the same title if you post again as that might draw in people who have heard of this happening. (Pink Vision in one eye).

I hope you find answers and this ends up being a very temporary problem for your daughter,

take care there.

I searched this for you and found this link:

http://www.webrn-maculardegeneration...lar-edema.html

Some form of edema of the retina may cause a pink hue to
vision.

Not common in young patients, but inflammation can come at any age.

I think your daughter needs a good opththalmologist.

Pink Vision in One Eye

Thanks both. Yes it was an Opthalmologist she saw. She ruled out Macular Edema and took photos of the back of the eye which would have shown this up. So no further forward at this point..... still hoping!
