Buprenorphine for depression...experiences?
 

Hi,

I'm a participant on the peripheral neuropathy site...I have both autonomic and sensory neuropathy. I also have treatment-resistant depression.

I've been reading about low-dose buprenorphine as a treatment for depression, and I'm wondering if anyone here has experienced its antidepressant effects.

Hi Sylvie,

I have not heard of it being used for depression before your post on here. I know it has been used to treat nerve pain in the form of the Butrans patch, which some of the other NTers have been on. Have you tried talking to St George at all? She was using it for a while to treat her SFN, not for depression, but she has a couple of posts in the PN section giving her experiences with it.
