I had a lawyer from the get go. I was found disabled in December , and 8th August of the next year I received my first disability check . The only thing I haven't been able to get is medicare. I am only 47 so I not sure if my age makes a difference.

"We automatically enroll you in Medicare after you get disability benefits for two years."
