question about a cat? ( serval)

any one have vet or training in feline health? need to take x-rays ct scan and blood work on my cat, my vet the was her vet left the practice, left with old vet he gave her a shot called telazol i didn't know at the time it acts like ketamine, this is not safe for servals they have a small for their size liver, she was knocked out for 10 hours without trying to wake up then she went back to sleep for another 5 then tried to stand then laid their etc all total about 2 days to start acting halfway right, anyone help please thank you p.s took her back talked him to just use gas you know put hole cage cat and all in garbage bag tie up and add little gas until cat out he said she wouldn't go to sleep all they way, so he said she may have ear mites so he doctored for that but she still has same symptoms head shaking , scratching ears, nasal running , acts like her head hurts wants me to rub her head and ears,I was thinking if she keeps acting like this need to have x-rays and blood work done , but afraid to knock her out again. not asking for medical advice just what you would use on your cat or if you had a cat like a serval what would you use? again this is just options not medical advice. thank you. thank you

You have a Serval as a pet? That is both impressive and scary.

My suggestion is you seek the advice of a vet that specializes in exotic species. Is there a zoo nearby? Maybe they can suggest someone. Simply treating your Serval as a simple feline may be a mistake. Housecats and tigers don't get the same meds; maybe Servals are way different too.

I hope you get your friend healthy soon!

thank you for answering, no not scary she's my baby, bottle fed, i don't think she's sick just scratching and shaking head ears looks like just mites, but didn't want this to happen again ( she doesn't like the vet ) i got in contact with the woman i got her from ,shes a rescue for servals and she gave me the vet she uses name and number ,so i give it to my vet so he can call and see what he does, actually they do get the same meds it's just some cats whether a house cat or wildcat each one is different just like people and a lot of the people meds they use on cats & dogs too! i was surprised to find this out!

I have never heard off this way of administering sedation.
Sounds terrifying and traumatic for both the animal and the owner!

they use a gas that don't have a smell to it, it actually just makes them groggy and sleepy where they don't care, it's better than giving a shot and they never wake up!( kill them)
don't you think?
