Fatigue
So I'm 7 months post concussion still having some PCS symptoms I believe. One of them being like extreme fatigue, I mean very extreme. To the point where I need to lay down and rest. I'm wondering how long I will have this. Or if this is even still a part of my concussion. Today I'm having pains in sides of my head like a pulling tension feeling. I used to have this when I would start doing new activities like screen reading or reading in general. Just with anything I didn't know but I haven't done anything new so I'm not sure why I'm having that now. I can only may be related to a lot of stress lately. Feedback would be helpful thank you.

If you have a lot of stress lately, you may not be getting good sleep. This would contribute to the fatigue.
"I'm wondering how long I will have this." Nobody can answer a question like this. Much of PCS and related issues require self-observation of triggers and other contributing factors. |
Do you know our have you heard that emotional stress causes nerve like pain in the head and body. Like a pounds and needles pain ? Also I'm still having such a hard time with not being me. Being able to do all that I used to do; music, a lot of errands, being social, being very overwhelmed stiff like that.

You need to listen to you body and rest when it tells you to rest. Pushing because you want to live the old you will only make things worse. The rest of your life can continue when you recover. The pains you mention could be tension headaches.
If your fatigue is due to poor sleep, you need to find a way to get good sleep. |

Well over 9 years for me, and how many times a day you think to yourself, well should I go to _______? Will I pay for it later?.....I better make sure I have my sun glasses, ear protection, ect..... I live a sheltered life, but I control it.....and after all these years I feel like I have found the right mix...and its nothing like the old me. |
Wow, that's so me. I wonder stuff like that all the time. I'm always unsure of what I can and can't do. Question? How do you deal with people who don't understand your condition? Or people who say wow you're still struggling with that. Or people who say stuff like wow that will give you head pains.. I don't see how ? I guess I know a lot of people who don't or won't try to understand me and what I struggle with.

I explain my limitations in medical terms. I say I have an auditory processing disorder that makes it difficult to tolerate too much sound. I might say my auditory processing disorder is due to a brain injury.
You could also say that 15% of people who sustain a concussion experience prolonged symptoms. |
9 months of concussion
