Tos & Fibromalagia

OK guys...
For months I have been sketching on the increasing body aches, headaches, fever, head, ear pain and fatigue.
The sleepless nights, walking the halls in pain, the perfect restless leg syndrome commercial and body temperature increase.
Blaming it on the weather as my body is now a weathering stick.
I was doing everything right since chemo, my new PT and still the fatique and increase in pain.
How could I have not seen through the pain before?

FIBROMALAGIA...dah
Was it hidden all these years from the horrific TOS burning and throbbing pain?
It was always there.
My girlfriend reminding me today at the beach that she still couldn't believe how easily I got through chemo.
I had told her, it wasn't easy but not near the horrific suffering TOS brings.
I so get it now.
It ALL clicks.

Chronic Pain
Chronic Fatique
Fribromalagia
TOS

color me confused, has someone dx'ed you with it?

I know on the old forum there were quite a few that had TOS with fibro or CMP {chronic myofasial pain} dx'd also.
Of course they could have been a true/correct dx or a dual dx or a mis-dx, due to the overlapping sx of all of them.
There are ways to sort most of it out - TOS vs fibro vs CMP - there are some links about it in our useful stickys {1st post}.

Yep...

Doc(s) mentioned it the last 7 years
But I never gave it weight
Just blamed all the sx on TOS, RSI
I tend not to keep score on ALL the dx's they dictate or the meds I take
But ALL the help I can find to get the pain under control

I've had diagnosis of:

TOS
myofascial pain
RSD
fibro
depression

and now...diabetes

I am SURPRISED anyone would describe your chemo as "easy." It's funny, my daughter was JUST saying yesterday, "I love Cyndy...she is so amazing that she made it through cancer, chemo WITH TOS, how in the world mom did she do that? She is so strong. I just love her." No lie.

ahhhh...

gee gosh
Seriously, I'm so not steller Tam and Dee
You just do what has to be done when your mind clears
I just feel if anyone has TOS you can get through ANYTHING else easily.
TOS is nasty, mean and evil son of a gun

Tam, take care and please call us next time or have Mr. Tam call us, please?
And Martha...I feel so helpless and want to take care of everyone.

you know what?

Not one of the 35 docs have FM on the list of dx's
Just the talk of it according to my pre surgical and post surgical journal

Hmmm... does it need to be there for ins purposes or does it bear any weight?
Wait!
Why would there be a FM diagnostic name with articles and papers written about it if it didn't carry weight?
Kinda like TOS being so controversial, huh??
