ADEQUATE PAIN CONTROL IS A HUMAN RIGHT Article

Hi Every one! Here is a very interesting article about the lack of adequate pain control, and what the World Health Organization and others are doing to increase awareness amongst physicians and others world-wide: http://www.newswise.com/articles/view/531110/

It was interesting to read about the "attitudes" that have been developed about pain based on societal, cultural, religious beliefs, and the "acceptance of TORTURE" in today's world...

(Sorry about posting it originally under the RSD Small-nerve Fibre post--just learning HOW to do all this cut, copy and past stuff!):)

This is absolutely a great article. When I saw my PCP on July 2, he stated he had two goals.

1. To help me get through my pain, and
2. To make sure I don't become an addict.

He went on to state that it is a catch 22. So we just decided that I need to see him every 2-3 months, to make sure I am comfortable and still in some control.

I saved this article for future printing. Thank you.
