Omg!

I was involved in a rear end collision last Tuesday where I was the one that was hit from behind. I was making a right turn and was probably doing less than 5 MPH. I was hit by a young lady that was doing about 50 MPH. (she says) My Toyota Camry has $3500 worth of damage and her car was totaled. Ever since then my Peripheral Neuropathy, Radial Neuropathy and Trigeminal Neuralgia have flared up like crazy. My lower back and neck are really sore but had x-rays done at the ER and nothing is broken. My Trigeminal Neuralgia has been pretty well controlled only having about 3 attacks of pain a month. Now I'm having attacks everyday. I did have MVD surgery for this about 5 years ago. Also my right arm and hand (where my Radial Neuropathy is) have been numb and tingling ever since this happened. :(

My stress level has been really high ever since and is it possible this is causing these flare ups?:confused:

I'm very sorry to hear this. I feel for you. For what it's worth, stress has a huge affect on my symptoms. It can get pretty bad, so I'm always trying to reduce the stress and worry about those times in life when I won't be able to keep it down, given how life goes.

I hope you find some relief soon!

My symptoms easily increase ten-fold when I'm stressed. It's the one and only trigger for a flare I'm dead sure about.

Hi. Stress is a major trigger for me and probably most people with neuropathy and other pain conditions. I'm really sorry to hear you've had this incident and it's set off all these flare ups. I know that if I get seriously stressed or angry it can be as quick as a minute when I begin to feel the pain ramping up. I hope you can find some ways to reduce the level of distress. Can you talk with friends, have a quiet, restful day at home doing things you like, or maybe spend time in nature? Those are some of the things that help me sometimes. Take care and hoping you start to feel better very soon (:
