MeBP? Are you feeling better?
I am hoping that you are getting better and you have the right dose of lithium.
I have been thinking about you all week. |
Thanks Mrs. Bear for asking about me. I'm in a very dark place right now and I'm not sure what is wrong. My pdoc is still tweaking my Lithium but I told her that I don't think I want to be on this anymore. She keeps saying give it time. I hate all the side effects I'm having like tremors and nothing tastes right. But I think what's bothering me more is that I don't just seem to have that spark for life that I had before. I could sit in my garden and marvel and wonder what I'll plant next and almost see it come to life before my eyes. I don't have that anymore and my life just seems so blah. I love my job and even that seems boring anymore.
And I had to have my new kitten that was left outside my work place put to sleep on July 5th. His heart was underdeveloped and the vet said he would have no quality of life. It just broke my heart because he was so young and so full of life and he was giving me life. I see that you are going off Lithium now. I hope this med change works for you. You have so much going on with Wes and your DH so I sure hope this one works for you. |
BP,
When I was on Lithium I would feel just like you describe, blah. My doc want for me to go on it again because I cannot afford the Depakote. I think now after reading your post, I'll try to keep my Depakote. I had wondered where you had been hiding. Sorry to hear about the kitten. befuddled2 |
MEBP - I am sorry you are still struggling with the lithium. Did she say how long these side effects will last? How long has it been since you started the lithium? I don't know much about it, never had it as a med.
I do know you don't have to take anything you don't want to, you can just ask her to please switch you to something else. Or maybe adjust the dosage tweaking will help. Sorry to hear about your kitty, that's heartbreaking. But I would hate to see any animal suffer either. You did the right thing. When you feel better maybe you can get another pet, they sure are wonderful to have, I have 2 dogs and 2 cockatiels. They keep me going sometimes for sure. They are characters too, with their own personality's, they make me laugh. They give unconditional love and that's a blessing. Thinking of you, Hugs, Nikko:hug: |
