Low body temperature....

Hubby came home from his music gig feeling awful. He said he sweat like crazy and was feeling nauseated. His temp was 96...something...can people have a low temperature after a fever spike? I think he has the flu.
thanks

after an hour fully clothed(tuxedo) and under a down comforter his temp is up to 96.7. But he feels hot.
I am not good with sickness. I gave him 50mg of meclizine(antivert) because I read that it could help with nausea which he is still feeling.
sigh

Bizi, that sounds like flu or a bad cold to me.

The best that I can suggest is to keep him warm and well-hydrated.

Usually people with a cold or flu feel lousy for a few days and then they get better - I am sure that will be true for him.

Yes, someone can run a low temp after sweating out a fever. Mean temperatures differ by a degree or two depending on the type of thermometer (oral, tympanic, etc) used, but if you took his temp using the same old thermometer, that's obviously not the issue.

I hope Jeff feels better soon
