rhNGF in China
Hello everyone,
I've been looking at a lot of studies as of late and I thought I would post one more… I found it interesting and maybe Will give some insight to some of the members of the forum: Efficacy and safety of nerve growth factor for the treatment of neurological diseases: a meta-analysis of 64 randomized controlled trials involving 6,297 patients Lots of references and discussion at the beginning but the summary gives an idea asked to what the Chinese are finding using nerve growth factor in there medicine. It seems like we studied it here in America in diabetic cases and found it was not viable. But maybe it is for other neuropathies that are not driven by diabetes. It seems like that is the case. I'm licking my wounds from my skin biopsy today… my neurologist did not have the touch of a surgeon today...OW!...but I appreciate her and her desire to get more information regarding my neuropathy. Here's to finding answers and living better lives. Sven |
Thank you for posting this. I just read it. Interesting. It doesn't say very much about side effects, or did I miss that reading too quickly? So can we get this outside of China, say in the US or Canada?
Has anyone with PN or SFN tried this? If so, what were the results? Thanks. P.S. Sorry to hear about the discomfort. I had mine done, and though it took long to heal for some reason, it went over very smoothly. So after further reading, I learned a few things. There is this piece that has plenty of links to studies: All About Nerve Growth Factor and 5 Ways to Increase It - Selfhacked. This one included: Nerve growth factor and autoimmune diseases. - PubMed - NCBI. |
