Geniculate Neuralgia

I have been dealing with geniculate neuralgia for over 3 years. I had the stabbing pain that was relentless and 24/7 for over 2 years. I finally found a neurosurgeon in NM willing to do the surgery. I ended up having a left-sided craniotomy with microvascular decompression of cranial nerve 7, 8, 9, 10, and 5 on 07/11/2016. I have been for the most part symptom free since the surgery. Since the surgery I have had a fullness feeling in my ear and complete hearing loss. I also have dizziness and feel off balance. I do have left sided facial paralysis that developed on day 10 after the surgery. My Dr. believes the hearing loss may or may not return but believes the facial paralysis is temporary. To be honest if these symptoms do not improve it was still worth having the surgery to get rid of the pain. I am now 3 weeks out from surgery and no longer using a walker. My balance has improved for the most part. My ear still has fullness which is irritating at times. I also still have facial paralysis. Has anyone else who has had this surgery experienced these symptoms? If so, what types of therapy did you try to regain function of the paralysis and/or hearing? Also, what was the time frame for hearing and facial function to return? Thank you
