Opll of thoracic spine
Hi, I am new to this forum. I recently discovered that I have severe spinal stenosis of T10T11. I have been to two different neurosurgeons who have both advised me to postpone surgery until I lose function. One surgeon told me I had a large calcified ruptured disc, the other thinks it is OPLL. I have numbness of right leg and intermittent "zaps" in various spots, most frequently in my feet. I know this is a very serious surgery, one surgeon told me that I would need to have an anterior approach, the other (Jho) would do it endoscopically with a retro peritoneal approach. Has anyone else here had surgery for thoracic stenosis?...and does anyone know of a neurosurgeon who specializes in OPLL? I am not sure that waiting until I lose function is the best option but at the same time I don't want to risk surgery at this point either until I find someone who is familiar with this. Thank you for any input.
