i am severely depressed

the doctor hasn't returned the form to the insurance company. maybe they still want the dates of when i took the sleep meds which are impossible to retrieve. i called up the insurance co again and they said the form didn't ask for dates but asked why he thought i needed the medication. right now i am furious.it actually helps with the depression. there is an eleven day deadline

Bobby,

That run-a-round starts to really sound like nuts.
I would be furious and depressed.

Do you have an appt? Can you make an earlier appt in order to
explain to him?

Or else call to tell him that Silenor (doxepin) is also sold as Sinquan (doxepin) and that
Sinquan is likely covered by your insurance?

u don;t know what to do ...right now i am really furious.I thought of trying to make an earlier appt but i am also afraid i will lose it, it is so hard to get a pdoc who takes medicare in manhattan he blew the relationship. the insurance co still might contact him again since time is running out but i told them i didn;t want to antagonize them. last night i went w=back and took the zoloft and butrop. they might have helpted. the fury definitely helped.

I'm so sorry Bobby :hug::hug::hug:

The combo of meds may have been helping. I hope that adding back helps. Do you have any Silenor left? :hug::hug::hug:

Do you think if the insurance company faxes another form to him you can get another 11 days?

Would it be a hassle for you to go to the office and ask in person for the form to be filled out? Sometimes doing that lights a fire under peoples ***es.

I'm sorry you are feeling so angry and depressed. I wouldn't handle this situation well. I would be absolutely livid :mad:

I hope you can straighten him out and get what you need :hug::hug::hug:

i don't want to lose him as a psychiatrist because last time was so very hard to find one. I made so many phone calls to no avail. I am stuck. I don't know how to get an extension. the women from the insurance co didn't mention it.
I only had six silenor

Bobby

I don't know so I'll ask. Is there another doctor that can order this.

I'm sorry Bobby :hug::hug::hug:

This is a difficult situation…

I think you should try his office again… be polite and explain the deadline, even if you already have. You could also politely ask about the delay. I know it's hard to be polite when you're so upset though :hug::hug::hug:

You may want to try to get an earlier appointment with him in case the paperwork with the Silenor (or a generic form) falls through so:

1. You can get a script for the Doxepin, get coupons from GoodRx online, and have it filled without using your insurance (it's very inexpensive that way). It may be a much easier option than going through insurance. Just explain it's the generic, and he will use his desk guide to look up the dosing equivalents before writing the script, OR

2. You can discuss getting a prescription for a drug with a similar action that's on your formulary.

i am too angry and scared right now. I don't want to rock the boat. I don;t want to involve another doctor and have it get back to the pdoc. I don;t even think the other doctor would do it. it doesn't sound professional. right now i am too angry to see the pdoc. what kind of relationship do i have with him?
