Parkinson's Does not Kill You

When a person shoots you in the heart with a gun neither the person nor the gun kills you...just the bullet........convoluted? Well that's what the Prof's have been saying for years in the U.S. "Parkinsons doesn't kill you, just the results of PD kill you".....it is crucial that the med community/politicians recognize PD as a deadly disease in order to beef up funding and research. Avoiding calling PD deadly is like keeping an endangered animal off the endangered species list so that congress is not forced to spend money protecting it......so it goes with PD.....as long as it doesn't kill you we don't have to beef up funding and research. The below study is based on Senior Citizens and does not take into account young onset....the study is weighted toward seniors (not entirely I went on medicare at age 40 ish) as it uses medicare as a basis for discovery. So one must keep the figures in perspective......none the less....
