Teva raises pricing on Azilect

Here we go again, another big pharma taking advantage of the system an patients. Now, it hits home as its a commonly prescribed PD drug, Azilect, that is getting increased. Although this increase is only about 10%, Teva has been consistently increasing it for years. The price today is three times the amount that it was when first approved. Hopefully, the arrival of generics will help get pricing down, but I wouldn't count on it. What would be nice is to see a patient revolt and boycott. This is the perfect drug to get a point across and show the power a mass patient movement. Azilect really doesn't do a heck of a lot for symptomatic control, and it's ability to slow progression is really unproven. It's a grossly over priced drug for the improvement it offers and most PWP would do fine without it.
