idiopathic sfsn
Hi friends,
I'm new here. suffer for 2 years from probably idiopathic sfsn. I have parashtesias all over my body, nimbness and pain, but all the tests are O.K. NCV and QST. My neurologist said he suspects SFSN, but can't prove it. Did you here about it before? I would like to hear more about Idiopathic sfsn, many your stories. How things started and how long was your way till you were diagnosed. (and sorry for the English mistakes...) You can send me an e-mail to reut540@gmail.com or answer in the forum - I hope I can know how to find yor responds. All the best |
Rina, I can only suggest that you
first check out the 'stickies' at the top of this forum...the one that's several pages long can provide you with LOTS of information about neuropathies. There are over 200 types so, be prepared to be 'boggled' and 'whelmed'. They are also useful to learn the 'vocabulary' about neuropathies, the ways doctors feel it 'shows' how YOU feel.
You also might want to read old posts to get a feeling of what all each of us has gone through in onset, diagnosis and then how we all live with it. That I think will help you get a picture of neuropathies and what comes with it. There are no 'silly questions!' Each person here has asked their fair share, either here or on other boards.. What makes this place special is that posters can share web sites directly that like to sources or resources that can be useful in understanding what you have, and what to do about it. - j |
