ACDF recovery questions
 

Hi I'm new here. 7 weeks post ACDF for level c6/c7. Recovery has been going well, had no "old familiar pain" until this past Monday. I'm assuming I did too much when we went to visit my son about 3 hours away from here. Had shoulder blade pain and some nerve twitches in arm. Took muscle relaxers for a few days and it's pretty much subsided so that's why I'm assuming I did too much with the affected arm.

I'm concerned about starting PT - can it be normal to have flare ups post surgery since the muscles really still are weak and haven't been used too much? I'm also stiff on the opposite neck and shoulder with some TMJ type symptoms. Been using moist heat to try and loosen that up. I am hoping PT and massage will help with the muscular issues.

Anyone else have these types of symptoms post surgery?
