Absent left carotid artery from birth

I'm not sure of the best group to post this in, can someone please tell me? Or comment on my post directly.

I have an absent (or occlusion) of the left carotid artery, which I have been told is from birth. I also have a strange symptom that when I bend over, lie flat (no pillow), swim freestyle etc my left cheek, and a bit of my neck, swells up then goes away within seconds of me standing back up (which I have been told is blood in the jugular vein). Does anyone else have this condition/symptoms?

Hi Brook,
I have recently been told I have absent left carotid artery since birth. I was misdiagnosed with several syndromes but recently told his condition is the culprit. I have had several lumps in neck,a blood clot in sublcavien vein, and lots of pain. Shortness of breath and migraine headaches. How are you now?
