talk at dentist office about her depression & GENES

I have been with my dentist for 8 years.
We are comfortable together.
I saw her to talk about a bite guard.

We ended up talking politics and then about her depression and what she
wanted to share about her MTHFR gene mutation.

My understanding is the that MTHFR gene mutation/s cause the body not to
process folic acid (B vitamins) and thus could affect bipolar. This would mean that it affects families ( I believe.)

Over the past few decades, various studies have shown an increased incidence of folate deficiency and a significant correlation with neuropsychological symptoms, especially cognitive decline, in psychogeriatric and psychiatric populations

most multivitamins include folate at the recommended level of 400mcg.
some even have 800mcg, just looked, mine has 800mcgs.

A friend on another forum has this gene mutation. Thank you for the info… different from what I've read in the past, and very interesting.

It has to be Metafolin.
