Flaking Enamel!

A couple of weeks ago I was in for my regular dental cleaning & check-up. While she was cleaning my teeth the dental hygienist commented that enamel was flaking off of the backs of my front lower teeth. Of course, I couldn't tell if there seemed to be anything going on because she had her tools in my mouth.

When my dentist checked my teeth over, he didn't mention anything about it. After I had left the dentist's office, however, I noticed that the backs of those lower front teeth felt rough & sort-of jagged. :yikes: So now I'm concerned that something serious has occurred. :holysheep: On the other hand, if it were something serious, I would think my dentist (whom I've been seeing for many years & who is excellent) would have mentioned it.

This is all particularly distressing for me because I am compulsive about my teeth! On the other hand, I don't have a lot of money for expensive dental work at this point. I've been procrastinating calling my dentist. But I guess I've now convinced myself I need to do it on Monday... or maybe Tuesday? :Dunno:
