SCS for neuropathy

Has anyone had a spinal cord stimulator put in for pain in their feet from their neuropathy?? My pain doctor has taken care of the lower back for now with the radio frequency on the facet joint in the lumbar area and the plan now is to do the scs with the end result being hopefully to get me off of all medications and become more mobile. Just hoping it works what a blessing that would be.

Complications of Spinal Cord Stimulator

I sent these articles to a friend who is going to Dr to check out Spinal Cord Stimulator. He suffers from "global neuropathies" --has severe body wide pain & other symptoms. He wants to get off meds & has been seeking ways, help w/ his pain.

While this site & articles focus on SCS for patients w/ RSD , there are warnings that may be relevant. SCS may work for you , but many who've tried have been disappointed w/ how brief pain relief was --from 2-12 mths. average 5 mths. Dr. Hooshmand states in another article about SCS, that can be Linked from his site, SCS can became another source of pain.

I don't know about SCS, just wanted to share this info. but I do suffer w/ neuropathic pain, and can empathize w/ quest for relief.... be aware..... wishing you the best...
