Why

Why is it so hard,
To say what we really feel?
To reveal our dreams,
That never seem quite real.
Why is it so difficult,
To express our secret desire?
To open our hearts,
Let our emotions take us higher.
Why do we stop ourselves,
From reaching out for more?
When we want so much,
We never felt like that before.
Why do we push love away?
Never wanting to get in too deep,
No one wants to get too close,
Never make a promise we can't keep.
Why can't we just let go?
We've been holding back for so long,
Don't want to take any risks,
There's no desire to be strong.
Why can't we break this mould?
This stereotype we've come to be,
What is it we really want?
It's much more than what we can see.
Why does it seem impossible?
To see past the reality of today,
We must look to the future,
Because there has to be a better way.
Why does it have to end,
Why do we stop before it's begun?
We easily admit defeat,
When we know inside we could have won.

Great work, I know i have had a lot of these same thoughts many times, But as always i kept a lot of them to my self, scared of the ridicule of others.:hug:
