menopause symptoms....

I started having hot flashes a couple of weeks ago. not horrible no sweating during the day, so am thankful about that.
But I have been having some night sweats....hate them. I have one every few months.
I am wondering if my mood is being effected too.
and this weight gain.
sigh
I have not seen a period in a couple of months so that is good.

anyone relate?
I would be afraid to take hormones being bipolar 1.

Not everyone benefits from hormones.

See a doctor. She might have some insight and some suggestions.

Thanks mari, my regular Mdoc suggested black cohash.
My twin said to not take that. I don't think she believes in taking supplements.

An acupuncturist can help.

Good luck with the symptoms. I have had the night sweats for years.
And being hot during day. So I usually use a fan a lot.

I think I only had one hot flash today and I am grateful.

Well my symptoms have increased.
11-19-16 I started having hot flashes/night sweats....woke me up several times last night. Woke up groggy from terrible sleep and hit the snooze alarm which I have not done in ages. I have been getting up before the alarm.
Sigh....my twin sister complains about this too.
So I am following her symptoms by about 4 months behind her.

sigh

I'm sorry you are having to go through this, Bizi. I'm glad you can talk to your twin about it :hug::hug:

She said she has not had a period in 10 months but still gets cramps. which suck, I have not had one for about 2-3 months.

Sending some hugs. I sure wish there were some fool proof answers.

I haven't had any luck coming up with any. The main thing I've learned
in the years I've been having issues with getting hot and then sweating
really bad. Is patience, that it will go away with a little time.
But mine is still here.
