Hi RSD,

I am pretty much in remission. I got it in 2000 when I had TOS surgery. I think I had it before that but the surgery just brought it out. With blocks, Triggerpoint injections, and Physical Therapy I am much better. Mine only acts up when the weather changes or if I do something strenious to get it going again.

Hopefully you will start seeing some better days soon.

Welcome to the forum and stick around. It's always good to have support in dealing with the RSD and you will get it here.

Hello RSD1864 Nice to meet new folks! Like our friend here, Ada said, she is pretty much in remission. The eariler your Dr. DX this.. the more ya can get it under control with nerve blocks, PT but to be honest with ya, this RSD is here to stay. Some go into remission for a long time, others stay with the RSD day in and day out.Yes we have our "good days and bad days". As for me, I got this after having Carpal tunnal surgery.. Grrrrr. Hang out with us, this board actually is family to me. you will find some wonderful people on here. Now, as I was saying.. my RSD was caught this April. I had my CT surgery Jan. 9th. of this yr. and my surgeon kept sayin;"you will get better"!.. he finally said:"I am afraid you have RSD. I'm like huh?? then I come on here looking it up.. and I know I was led here by God. And like I said eariler, you come here to know us! we will be your support anytime. Hang in there! :0) Love, Desi

Welcome, sorry you have had 10 years of this disorder. I have read online about people going into remission. Try googling rsd remission, I am sure it will come up with a couple of links.

Welcome

you found a great place for encouragement and friendship. You can get better, stay the same or have an Rsd spread. Everyone is different, but no matter what shape you find yourself in, we will be here for you. And YES people do go into remission, but because there is no cure we always need to be extra careful and treat our bodies with the respect RSD demands. Proper diet, rest and learn a positive way to deal with Stress--much easier said than done:winky: Again WELCOME  Carose
