Sleep

Usually get off to sleep but wake up a few hours later for toilet stop and thereafter sleep is a luxury. As we all know getting up in the morning with usual fatigue is enough without adding lack of sleep to the mix.
Have tried Clinicians R.E.M. Sleep capsules, GO Cherry Sleep, and Bach Rescue Sleep Spray with mixed results.
Can you share what has worked for you?
Thanks

I limit the fluid I consume before bed and empty my bladder before going to bed. For me, If I sense anything like a full bladder, I end up sleeping restlessly.

I try not to drink anything an hour before bed. Unless you have a full bladder wanting to pee can be anxiety related, I find if I relax the urge can go away. When you sleep the urge to pee is suppressed - unless your bladder is full. Some of it can be blamed on age if you are over 40 and male as the prostate gets bigger and can press on the bladder. In women the uterus can drop slightly too giving the same effect - getting old is great lol.

As for help with sleep I wish I knew the answer to that one! Limiting brain activity in the evening and not associating bed with negative thoughts is the only thing I can think of. I find I can go 5 days with enough sleep then 2 or 3 days sleeping badly, I haven't found a reason why.

I always empty out before bed and limit fluids from evening meal onwards which sadly hasn't impacted generally speaking on sleeping right through. After accident it is as if you don't get quality sleep anymore, often waking up as tired as when I went to bed.

Thought I might try melatonin, GP of opinion it might help. Or does lack of quality and length of Zzzz's simply territorial - get used to it? Accepting of course we are probably all different.

SuperEelectric, can vouch for stress and anxiety impacting!

When my head gets a disturbance in the force I can pee a ton through the night. Sorry to say this but it smells really bad too.

I don't understand the correlation but it is a very evident pattern.

Last week I peed 8 times from 2 am to 8 am.
