Take off your tinfoil hats !
I've been waiting a few months to see if I could ever post this...
and today looks like the day. :) http://www.health-boundaries-bite.co...he-Garden.html :) |
Oh dear... I just realized that maybe not everyone here "gets" the tinfoil hat thing.
On the eBay forum when someone says something a bit far out, then there's a poster who posts a pic of... I forget.... a sock or something... a sock puppet maybe... with a tin foil hat. See? :) so all these months I've been thinking about that poster... but I thought maybe you'd enjoy the picture, too. :) . |
Well, yes. That makes sense to me. Reflecting the light.
My son and daughter did an experiment with different coloured cellophane paper and a seedling. Showed how light influenced the growth. |
Oh, I'm so glad you get it. Whew.
Do they have pictures of their experiments? Maybe you could post one on this thread????? I'd love to see it. I was really REALLY surprised by the amount of difference it made. You are a sweetie to reply!!!!!!!!!!! |
Gosh, was a long time ago now.
They did it for Biology. Had to give a presentation, oral and visual. Not sure if they saved their photos. They may have done that. I'll ask them when they wake up. Monday morning here. Are you in a very hot climate? I would imagine that the tin foil would make the plants burn if it was too hot. It would work well stopping moisture from evaporating... a little like a mulch. |
Hi, ((((((Karen)))))) http://chocolate-moose.p5.org.uk/MINIS/hola-001.gif
Oh my goodness, that is amazing!! I'll have to try it, it I can ever get my tin-foil hat unplugged :p I'll bet that would work good in an apartment where you don't get enough light. I remember when I bought my condo that I used to own, I brought 50 indoor plants there. My plants did not like it there -- lost every one of them. Now, I can't have indoor plants, 'cause my kitties are untrustworthy  Thanks for sharing. That's so interesting. Good way to recycle too. You're really turning out to be **The Star** of energy-saving and recycling, aren't you  Barb http://chocolate-moose.p5.org.uk/MIN...ilhatsmile.gif |
well, I can hardly wait to try this!! Thank you Karen!
