nightmares

Anyone else experience nightmares? I used to have them rarely but now pretty much every night. Any thoughts on how to get rid of them?

I have them when I am not breathing properly. I have Central Sleep Apnea that acts up when my head is not in a good posture.

Obstructive Sleep Apnea can also cause oxygen deprivation and nightmares.

Are your days after a nightmare night worse than normal ?

yes, they are worse. they checked me for apneas last year and didn't find much though.

A sleep lab test may not show apneas if they do not happen every night. I've done two at home sleep tests with no apneas but my wife stayed up one night and counted me stopping breathing 16 times in an hour.

A Fit Bit could give you some ideas about your sleep. Or, a recording Pulse Ox meter.
