"Frequent myoclonus" just at night
Hello,
I am brand new to this website and English is my second language. I will go straight to the point and I hope it will be clear. I started having weird movements last January such as numbness and twitching just at night (when falling asleep, during sleep, and just before I wake up). It got worse day by day but I still don't have iton a daily basis nor when I am wide awake. Plus, I feel like fainting when sleeping sometimes and I get adrenaline rush as well. I went to a neuoro specialist, he said it's something mental and askef fir EEG and MRI. My EEG was normal, my MRI too but I noticed on my MRI a phrase that says (clinical data: frequent myoclonus). I started googling but I found out a lot of information which made me kind of lost. I don't know whether it's something serious or should I worry about it or not? Please help! |
Hello Rxwxn: I'm sorry I cannot be of help with regard to what you are experiencing. I have some stuff going on that I think may be similar. However, I have not sought treatment for it & don't really have any useful information to share with regard to it. It has been suggested to me, here on NT, that a magnesium supplement might help. (I haven't tried it.) I mentioned it to a psychiatrist I see & he offered to write me a prescription for Neurontin. However, I declined that. Anyway... since this is your first post here on NT... welcome to NeuroTalk! :welcome_sign: May the time you spend here be of benefit... :Grin-Nod:
