Slightly Off topic: MIT researchers use flickering lights in Alzheimer's research

It doesn't translate perfectly to concussions, but it is interesting nonetheless.

Researchers at MIT are using 40hz (gamma wave) lights on mice in a Alzheimer's study. According to the study, MIT researchers have shown that they can substantially reduce the beta amyloid plaques seen in Alzheimer’s disease.

I tried looking at a 40hz LED and I must say it has a soothing quality about it. They are classified as gamma waves, which according to a popular theory, gamma waves may be implicated in creating the unity of conscious perception.
