new symptom?

was feeling pretty much OK. experiencing somewhat a stressful couple of weeks, not much sleep. woke up feeling extremely dizzy, back of my head felt like it was on fire, serious headache. this was several days ago. getting better but still feeling pretty terrible with headaches coming and going. any ideas on what happened? prior to that did not really have any headaches.

Hi injuredbutrecovering,

Have the headaches been improving since they started up? Do you have neck issues? For me, whenever I've randomly had new symptoms pop up it was due to either neck stiffness in a new area or inflammation. Heat or ice typically helps. Just something to consider.

Sometimes, there is no rhyme or reason for symptoms to manifest. I have struggled with vaso-spasm headaches on and off for year. I just got one after 2 years without having any.

Stuff happens. Sometimes, it has nothing to do with a concussion history.

thanks everyone, that makes sense. i think it's neck and stress related.

mark: what are vaso spasm headaches? as in, what do they feel like?

I wish I had a concrete answer for you, alas all I have is experience to share.

I felt great Oct.-Dec. and thought maybe my accident was behind me.

Jan. hit and I have had a pretty symptomatic start to the year without a clue as to why.

I guess as Mark says, not always an obvious reason.

Best to you!

Bud
