Neck MRI

Hello everyone, it has been some time since I have posted, but I figured that this board might be a good resource for this question.

I went to the doctor recently to hopefully get a referral to physical therapy for my neck after trying to get back into weight training three or four times over the past year unsuccessfully. Every time I tried my eyes would get a pressurized feeling, my vision would get aggravated, and my pupils would go to different sizes. More recently, I have been having trouble looking downward at paperwork and straining my upper body at all without these problems. I should also add that bending over can be extremely uncomfortable as well, producing these symptoms.

To my surprise he ordered an MRI of my neck and thought that surgery would be likely if the scan shows what he suspects. I was quite surprised by this, and was just wondering if anyone has had any neck imaging actually show anything?

Your symptoms & descriptions may have pointed to something, and he wants to use MRI imaging to rule in, or out, any other factors..
Imaging may not always "find" something, but the "ruling out" is just as helpful..
