*1st Post: MRI help
 

- I have had daily headaches for around 4-6 months now, especially in the morning. It feels like constant pressure, and always worse after sleep.

- Dizziness

- Blurred vision at times

- Loss of balance at times (running into walls, accidentally broke a hanging picture recently). Maybe unrelated, but still.

- Bad nausea. Some days are worse than others, but often bad in the morning. Side note: not pregnant. This has been going on for months, and still the same.

- Tingly feeling on my head, and sometimes that with a mix of numbness on my face.

- Had an MRI done, waiting to hear results but do have a CD with the images.

- MRI (large brain bulge in front one the one) black dots, not symmetrical, uneven center nerve T part, ...

- No known biological family history

- All of these symptoms are new within the last 4-ish months or so.

So sorry if way too much info, just trying to get what I can think of.

I would love to upload pictures, but it looks like that is not an option here.

Any information and/or knowledge would be amazing. Thank you so much!

To look at a MRI and know what is and is not normal requires a Radiologist. What is sometimes better understood is the MRI report in which the Radiologist will explain any findings on the MRI.

It is always best to see your Dr. for the best explanation of your MRI.

I'm sorry to hear you have been having some medical problems. If I may ask are you taking any prescription meds because if you are and you feel dizzy, lose your balance, or have blurry vision your med may be at a toxic level in which you need to let your Dr. know immediately so they can cut back on the dosage.

I've had brain surgery twice for epilepsy and I'm not a Dr. but it could be that you have a large amount of scar tissue or a possible tumor in the area. Headaches are one of the first things that can happen with tumors along with everything else you described and that's because the brains neurons are firing up causing more problems. Try putting a cold wash cloth on your face and the back of your neck 3 times a day at the same time and anytime you start to get a headache by doing this it will calm the neurons down in your brain, it's called "Cold water therapy" I had this done a few yrs. ago in a medical study and it also reduced my seizures.
My best advice to you is to have your family Dr. refer you to see a neurologist or Epileptologist which is a Dr. that specializes in both neurology and epilepsy. These Drs. can do more detailed testing on you like a SPECT or PET scan to see what's really going on.
In the meantime get a calendar and write down any times you have a headache put down what time it started and stopped and also take note of the weather because often a low pressure in the weather can cause headaches for many people. By keeping track your Dr. may see a pattern in the time of day or night you have any headaches or what days of the month they happen. Cut back on the caffeine and stay away from alcoholic beverages until you know for sure what's going on. You may want to try taking vitamin B12 1000 mcg. once a day because that will help calm the nerves down which may help you with your headaches. I wish you the best of luck and May God Bless You!
