just sent an email to my nephew

he mentioned meeting him for lunch in midtown. I told him I probably couldn't
I even have been having trouble walking across the street. I said I have been in denial. taking a cab to midtown at lunchtime would be too expensive but i didn't mention that. I think with the traffic it would cost twenty dollars maybe.
He sends me pictures of his kids doing activities. the kids love each other and they look joyous. I really enjoy the pictures. they are about seven and eight

I'm really glad you enjoy the pictures. The children sound lovely :)

I'm sorry about the cab. They are very expensive here. I can't imagine how expensive they are in N.Y.C.

mymorgy 05-17-2017 06:35 AM

theye are expensive. I spend ten dollars each way to go to the psychiatrist.

OhKay 05-17-2017 06:47 AM

When I wasn't driving, it was $15 for a cab each way to my pdoc who is 5 minutes up the road, but in a different town, because it was a zoning thing. I was seeing her once a week for a long stretch, too.

I spent ridiculous money on cabs, but it was my own fault for getting the DUI. You are a victim :hug::hug:

oh wow. I think new york is cheaper. look up via. I don't know how long it has been around. something like five dollars a ride. I am paranoid and only like yellow cabs

OhKay 05-17-2017 07:44 AM

There are quite a few cab companies in my city and the fares are pretty consistent. There are two companies that are cheaper, but they are unreliable.

I will not use Uber, etc.

I am SO glad I can drive again.

WE used uber while in florida and it was super cheap and easy and quick!!!!!
but you have to have a smart phone and give them your credit card info.

Bobby what about the senior/handicapped bus?
I am sure they have one. You would need to get a letter from your doctor and there would be some sort of registration required but it would be cheap! They could take you to your doctor appointments, actually they may beable to take you anywhere.

I forget how long, but they require A LOT of notice here before they will agree to take you anywhere.

There's a service with volunteer drivers that's better tho.
