Eyes are super strained and causing constant bad headache

I started doing vestibular therapy the other week, and the eye exercises i was given I was told the wrong way to do them, where I focused on a target on a popsicle stick and moved my head in yes yes and no no motions. However I moved my head too much to each side where I was focusing on the target with the extremity peripheral vision of my eyes.

The last week I've tried to rest my eyes as much as possible however they are as strained as they've ever been and I can't read anymore even though 2 weeks prior I was able to read anything. Have I overdone my eyes? Do I have occipital neuralgia? Have I caused permanent damage to my eye nerves? And what can I do to treat my eyes? Keep doing eye exercises? Nerve block injection?

Would love some answers as I felt I was on my way to recovery until my eyes started killing me last week?

It appears the common denominator to your eye struggles is the Carrick protocols.I think you need to be seen by a behavioral optometrist as I have posted previously, including links to resources. The chiro does not have the level of training a behavior optometrist has.

If you need vestibular therapy after the eyes improve, then you can try that.

Personally, I believe the chiro is treating symptoms, not the concussion.

What were you diagnosed with for reason to do eye therapy?

Can it be improved through use of prism/tinted lenses? I Have convergent insufficiency and that's route I went vs doing eye therapy which is going to be long process and cause strain each time you do it with recovery times needed.

My Neuro opthamologist gave me new prisms and will be doing eye therapy after I see improvement so it will be easier transition in theory.

PM me with any questions.
