Reading

While reading, I seem to build up anxiety. It seems to be me struggling with reading each word sometimes, while struggling with OCD. Then I end up having more, and more pain in the middle of my chest from anxiety. Sometimes the tension builds up around each side of my forehead. Does anyone else have this type of problem?

I'm glad that I didn't have this particular type of thing in school. This developed around 1990, long after I graduated from High School. At the time I thought that I was developing heart problems. My Psychiatrist gave me Valium, and the pain went away. At least I think that it was a high dose of Valium. Then he switched me back to Xanax. I left college in my second year because my mental health issues got worse. BF:hug::hug::hug:

Hi,

I am sorry you are dealing with that.
Reading is o.k. for me but I do not do much of it when I am depressed because it is hard to focus.

Can you listen to music?

Occasionally I like listening to talk radio more than watching t.v. because the
t.v. involves the senses more.

I love music. I was listening to a group that I heard first on TV, and then I listened to more of their music on Youtube. BF:hug::hug::hug:

I also have a hard time concentrating on what I'm reading when my depression gets worse. BF:hug::hug::hug:
