When I was younger? I don't know.
Now, I'm not loyal. I drop people or at least keep them at a distance. Parents and siblings I keep because I have to. |
:grouphug:I think loyalty is more a thing with your personality.
I know I'm not bi-polar but I'm loyal its just my nature. Donna  |
did iyt start when you were very young?
|
If your asking if I was loyal when I was young.
Yes, I had very few friends, and seemed to be sick a lot. So I was loyal to those who stuck with me. Donna :grouphug::hug: |
I think I got loyal the older I got.
|
I agree with Donna that loyalty is a personality trait.
I think you're more likely to express the trait if you've been conditioned to because of events in your past, like Donna was, but sometimes people become really loyal because of how they grew up and evolved as people in general. But sometimes people grow up in very dysfunctional, and sometimes abusive, families where there are no close connections, and loyalty to friends becomes extremely important. I've been loyal to a fault in the past. I've (mostly) learned it's at least more important to protect myself over others now, and not get involved in contentious situations... |
When I really think about it....
I have become more loyal as I have gotten older. I am protective to a fault to some of my friends, I need/value their friendships and Jeffs too. 3 of my closet friends are getting divorced/ going thru hard times right now. I feel loyal to them. bizi |
By loyal do you mean standing by someone and staying with them
and trusting each other? M |
