Hi guys,

Can you tell me if my third molar extraction is healing well. It's been 8 days now since I had it removed

Thanks

Kieranh,

How does it feel to you? Did you or do you have any post operative pain, swelling, oozing from the site?

The limited view on the photograph looks normal for 8 days post op. You have some food debris in the socket and the tissue is a bit irritated. But that is common. Do not put anything in there to pull the food out.

You should still be:
Rinsing with warm salt water 3-4 times a day.
Avoid eating in that area.
No smoking or drinking alcohol. Both slow down the healing process.
