Increased rates of osteoarthritis

I thought this was interesting.

It seems that knee osteoarthritis is much more complex than it was thought.

Very interesting info because in may my left knee buckled and gave way, both knee and feet swelled, i went and saw the doctor and it was sprained and also thinks i have RA besides Osteoarthris another thing from birth:rolleyes:

Then to top the lot with pressuring my right leg that one buckled the same and i was layed up for over a month and still now each day i have to spray them with cold freeze.

Rheumo's had both knee and hips x-rayed but waiting for an appointment.

I wonder why rates have increased in the knees. The type of exercises people are doing or lack of exercise? Anybody have any thoughts?
