ACDF vs Laminoplasty? Recovery? Success?
 

I have been told to get ACDF (front of neck) with bone used from my hip. Then I was told the difference between the two surgeries one entering from the front of the neck and the other from the back which will be a laminoplasty etc. I have decided on the Laminoplasty. The only negative I can find is that cutting the muscles in the back of the neck will be very painful on recovery? Can anyone help me understand what the recovery will be like? how long and how much I can do. Thanks
