I saw the JaneFonda RobertRedford movie on NetFLix

They did a fantastic job.
And they looked great. . . Except Hubby said Redford
looked older than he expected. I said,"It's called acting."

Redford's character walked a little bit slowly. And they dressed him
in weird pants and belt but that was not distracting.

I was worried about watching it and getting sad but the movie
did not make me sad. It was heartfelt and in some places even fun.

These two did FOUR movies together in the past.
I hope that they had fun working together this time.

Fonda looked really good and played someone sweet and lovely.
And OMYGOD Redford looked great -- esp the smile and the eyes. :D:D:D:D
He played a sweet guy.

Here's the trailer if you have not seen it.

In his Today show interview, Redford slightly complains about
having to be there early . . . says he is not a morning person. :trampoline:

I think he looks great for eighty. I didn't know he was 5'10. I thought he was shorter. I still find him sexy. I read the book too which I tried to give to my therapist. It was different-more sensual.

I saw the movie,"Barefoot in the park"(1967)with Robert Redford, and Jane Fonda about five years ago. I thought that it was a really wonderful movie.

I understood what Robert was talking about. BF:hug::hug::hug:

The plot is believable because they have lived in the same neighborhood
for years but were not friends because they were taking care of their
own families.

In my neighborhood people do not talk to each other. We do not have
sidewalks or front porches or places where people see each other because
our windows are closed against the heat (Air conditioners running).

When I watch it again, I will see it differently, but due to whatever mood
I was in last night, I felt that all of us could benefit from
having connections with other people.
BUT it is hard to connect when I am a complete nut case.

Those two were playing people who were sane -- no weird anxiety issue for
example or bipolar or great need to be alone.

It sounds like a nice movie to watch, but one Corey wouldn't sit through. So once things calm down, I think I will check it out.

I have always had a casual relationship with all my neighbors that Corey hasn't always shared. It seems like most people here know each other and are friendly. We know the lady next to us, and the couple upstairs.

Mari 10-23-2017 08:54 AM

Yes. Good to know the neighbors.

Maybe I am not a friendly person beyond saying "hello."

In the past my neighbors have also been very helpful doing things like helping me clean off my car because Corey doesn't do it for me. He would talk a lot of s*** about them (because they were Indian), and it would make me angry, because he did not know the people... how kind the had been to me, doing things that he didn't. I can't stand racism. I always speak up, but it never makes a difference.
