Any help is appreciated. 5yrs Peripheral Neurop

I had a toxic reaction to Cipro Antibiotic 5 years ago which left me with Peripheral Neuropathy in both feet, shins, calves 24/7 365 days a year. This eventually led to other chronic pain issues. I have tried all kinds of meds. My diagnosis at University of Penn Chief Neurologist was Idiopathic, could not tell me the actual cause. Meds only give me horrible side effects. I cannot tell you how much time and money I have spent, searching for some real relief. Two months ago I started using Charlotte's Web Everyday Advanced CBD Hemp Oil. Two days ago I upped my daily dosage to 50mg(40 drops)split into two doses of 25mg per day. I am remaining optomistic that some of the pain I suffer from will be eased. I am told that I have to be patient and that I will be. Everyone is different and how each of us reacts to what we introduce in our bodies, in different ways. I am so glad to have found this group and hope that the comraderie will be helpful, in more ways than one.

Welcome stutaz, but sorry you find yourself here.

The camaraderie here is most definitely helpful, although the activity on the forum waxes and wanes.

Yes, everybody is definitely different with different symptoms and different responses to attempted treatments. You just have to keep trying various suggestions to see if something works for you. There's no magic pill, but it seems most people have found at least partial relief from one thing or another.

And most of us are right there with on the time and money thing. Amazon absolutely loves me with all my supplement experimentation. :)

Hi stutaz

Welcome to NeuroTalk :).

I know very little about the medicinal uses of CBD though the TGA (similar to the FDA) has recently approved its on-prescription use here.

I hope that other members will be able to offer you helpful suggestions.

Best wishes.

For me, the Charlotte's Web drops didn't do much but I think it was because I topped out at 20-25 mg/day - CBD oil is an anticoagulant & I'm already on a blood thinner after a stroke. The last thing I need is to set myself up for a bleed. So I tried other things & got my best relief so far with Myaderm. It's a CBD transdermal creme, easy dosing since each pump is 10 mg. I apply it to the insides of my wrists where blood vessels are so close to the surface.

I'll be interested to hear your results with higher dose of CW.
