How often do you see your pdoc?
My pdoc sees me once a month even though we have not changed any meds
or doses in many months. I would almost rather quit my drugs entirely than have to drive there even ONE MORE TIME. I really find it stressful to have to think about being somewhere on time. It also doesn't help that I get a random time/ different time each month. I want the same freeking time each time I see her I am going to ask her to change it to every two months. M |
That sounds reasonable.
But then again I have a therapist that I see regularly. I forget, do you have a tdoc? I see my pdoc once a month if med changes occur. 2 months when I am more stable then 3 months when I am steady and doing well. She is in contact with my tdoc when they feel like they want to confer on some issue. Like when I had my melt down in my tdocs office, she contacted my pdoc and they chatted. I have been seeing Robin my tdoc weekly for a while now. (since my insurance is paying all of those expenses right now because we have met our deductable. I will see here less often come January 1st. I see her this monday before we leave for our trip. Since I feel mostly steady I will see robin probably once a month when we get back. and our new deductible kicks in.... bizi |
I go once a month. I like to go for stability and to get clonopin. He changes medication often lately

As often as twice a week, but no longer than every six weeks :o
I understand what you mean about the different appointment times, Mari. I would be more assertive with the secretary at least as far as day of the week and time of day- even if that means you will be seeing her less often... Your time is valuable, too  |
Thank you, EVERYONE.:heartthrob:
My appointment is for THREE months from now!!!:):):) She said I was the one that wanted to see her every month. Yes, I did. That was because I wanted to spend one year making her connect with me well enough to get used to me / trust me. We've been together now for 18 months. We trust each other. Six months ago, I stopped trying her shtty drugs. I am now on the same exact meds I was on when I started seeing her. In other words, even after trying and discussing lots of meds, I have reached no improvement. M |
I'm so sorry that you haven't seen any improvement in the time you have been seeing her. It must be so discouraging :hug::hug:
Would you be interested in seeing someone (at some point) who may help you because they may take a different approach? Or are you unwilling to abandon the comfort of the relationship you have with the pdoc you have now? |
at least you trust her and she might down the road hear of something new.
Most of the time I am depressed with all my medication. I do believe in miracles but not concerning bipolar |
3 months!
That must mean she thinks you are stable. What do you think????:o bizi:hug: |

prescribed them. They all had unbearable side effects even at tiny doses. =-=- Several months ago she said she would write a letter to my insurance company for ketamine but I did not get an update from her. At another visit she said one of her patients seemed to benefit from turmeric. That's it. M |
