CBD Oil

Is anyone here using CBD Oil for pain?

I've just ordered some, and am looking for pointers.

I've tried a couple different brands and the higher mg's in product the more expensive...I found no relief that I could tell. Guess if money were no object I'd keep at it, BUT

I'm finding "some" pain relief for my knees with a CBD salve I buy. It's so so and I'm not totally turned off on it.

Good luck.

Hi, Elaine - I have MGUS-related PN which is progressive. Not sure whether CDB oil will help you, but I have found useful an edible product (chocolate truffle form) that contains 10mg CBD and 10mg THC. THC works synergistically with CDB, making it more effective. There are products with lower levels of THC that will also work, but I like the high, so these truffles are my "go to" for pain at night. I usually eat one a couple hours before I tuck in for the night if am having any foot/toe/ankle pain. The product does have a euphoric effect from the THC, which also helps my mood - I'm sometimes actually cheerful! The product takes a couple hours to kick in, but definitely "quiets" my nerves and brain, allowing me to sleep. Best of luck with the oil. Let us know if it works for you.

Hi thuja, lucky you to be able to purchase products with THC.

That won't happen in my state for the foreseeable future.

I also started Low Dose Naltrexone in the past month, so I am going to find it difficult to tease out the CBD oil from the Naltrexone.

I do know that the Naltrexone has stopped my pain completely.

Yep.

The pain is gone, and there is a residual 'something' from the Naltrexone...I can't put my finger on it. A kind of relaxed state. Maybe just from having the pain gone.

Consider the LDN if you think it might help you.

Regards, ElaineD

Hi, Elaine - The LDN sounds quite promising and I may ask my oncologist if I can give it a try. Are you taking 4.5mg/day? How long did it take for you to notice pain relief from it?

These degenerative nerve conditions are simply brutal.
