Glaucoma
Hi. I was just diagnosed with Glaucoma. My eye pressure is low but the Optical Nerve Scan showed abnormalities. The doctor said it could be caused by my using the inversion table for so many years as it is not hereditary or from steroid use. Bottom line, once again I am in a situation where the cause is not known for sure. Sorta like idiopathic glaucoma just like my idiopathic small fiber neuropathy. If the inversion machine is not the cause and my pressure continues to be low but the glaucoma worsens I don't know what my options are and I am terrified.
Does anyone out there have any ideas about what I can do to keep this from progressing? I am already on eye drops prescribed by the doctor. I will be grateful for any and all feedback. Carol |
Hi pinkynose,
If you use steroids this would be the most likely cause for Glaucoma. Steroids have many short term and long term side effects, steroid induced Glaucoma is one of the known side effects. I'm sorry  The best thing you can do is follow your Ophthalmologist's advice on eye medication and see him/her on a regular basis. |
