Did you watch it? I thought it looked interesting but found that very odd that the doctor’s name as well as the “Experts” are not mentioned or titled in the preview. Rather odd.

Lets talk!! What concepts from this series are "sticking" with ya'all?

One of the concepts that "sticks" with me talked about in here is that the vagus nerve connects the gut to the brain, and, that, the majority of endogenous dopamine is produced in the gut NOT the brain. Is this entirely true?? This raises the question in my mind: what gets lost or scrambled in the transmission process between gut and brain.

Also, that blood tests don't necessarily reveal cellular absorption of toxins/nutrients. Doctors know this yet they continue to rely on them like beating a dead horse !! I really really like the sea change perceptual approach/philosophical paradigm shift to the emphasis on how environmental insults express differently in individuals although can also express in common patterns as well....both are/can be true.

I certainly have noticed improvement after adopting a Kombuchu drinking regimen. My first big impression was that it helped me to assimilate the magnesium supplement I take to address constipation as evidenced by heathier stools. "We aren't what we eat but what we absorb" -forgot who said that....sorry. I do find however that an ooccasional piece of bread feels good- that eating gluten sometimes helps me sleep and relax and doesn't always impair mucuna/sinemet efficacy...need for folic acid or tryptophan calling?

Finding the universal expressions of pathology does offer some venue to understanding but we live in a world connected by a psychic internet as well as a physical one - as above - below....which means to me that healing is a multimultimultivalent process. We carry within our DNA memories of collective trauma. I appreciate the "plugging as many holes as one can" metaphor used in this series but even that feels singular in its approach - though imho Resonance is multidimensional- what can profoundly impact one person may be completely different for another considering the underlying element of TIMING.......when science embraces principals of cause and effect on personal together with collective levels perhaps we will be empowered to embrace and perceive our experiences with more grace ...and patience...our "time" will come - meanwhile...onward - through the fog .. sigh MD

I ended up watching it. Interesting. Magnesium is recommended. People are always recommending it to me but my husband takes it for migraines. It has helped with that but if he misses a dose, he is constipated. Seems to have developed a dependency. I don't have constipation problems. I don't want to, either so I am reluctant to try magnesium. Any experience with it? Is there a form of it that won't mess with my fragile regularity.
