Small bump so back to square 1

Long time lurker, first time poster.

I had a moment the other day where I went over a small bump on a motorbike and my helmet went up and down. It didn't seem to be much at the time although the next day, it felt like I was back to square one.

All of the symptoms I had from a concussion sustained three months ago returned.

Things like inability to think straight or inability think about complicated tasks, That 'fog' that I experienced for the first two weeks after a concussion returned.

Is it possible that I sustained another concussion? How do you guys deal with ultra-sensitivity everyday? I feel fragile now and have got it in my mind that I can't do anything that may risk another concussion.

articunoe,

Welcome to NeuroTalk.

Your helmet movement did not cause a concussion. It sounds like you were startled or just annoyed by hitting the bump then started looking for symptoms. As others have put it, if this bump did not concern you before your concussion, there is no reason to be concerned about it now.

As you say, You have it in your mind...... You need to leave those thoughts behind. They will cripple your life.

Even if we have symptoms that persist, we can still move forward with our lives. It is best to try to do so.
