Hi, Jacquelina!
I saw it on the news a few minutes ago and immediately thought of you. I am so glad that you are OK! It is a horrific tragedy for all of us looking at it from far away... I can't imagine what it would be like for all everyone who lives in Minneappolis. My thoughts and prayers are for your hometown...

I saw the breaking news and was glued to the TV. I saw that school bus and the cars crushed and my heart ached...like the Bay Bridge from the earthquake all over again.

My prayers are on going for the families.

Jacquelina

of course our hopes and prayers are with you and with the victims and families affected by this horrible accident. i saw it on yahoo! as well...

i think anytime something like this affects our infrastructure it is very, very frightening on many levels. it seems to me the bay bridge analogy johanna makes is an apt one, for that very reason.

please know that i feel for you and that our hearts go out to you, kid. and thanks for your post. pain and loss of this magnitude is so overwhelming... but do amount to the one thing that connects us all... and also serve to keep us human. i know you have seen more than your share of grief in your young life, J - but you are also wise and compassionate beyond your years because of it...

well, you have my number and are welcome to call me anytime (you know i never sleep so don't worry about the time difference, either. especially at a time like this.)

very upsetting.:( you are a loving and kind young person to care so much

saw this on CNN this am. How awful! Many prayers for all involved.

One good thing: how the survivors bravely ran back to save others.

It's what Americans (not necessarily the govt) do in a crisis, isn't it? Help others. I'm very proud to be an American.

:Soapbox:
ok, off my patriotic soapbox.

I also have watched on the news. It is so horrific what happened but thank God more were not lost. I am also proud. I heard on the news this morning that a woman in NY fell onto the tracks of a subway train. She had fainted, or lost her footing, not sure. Two men jumped down, with a train coming, and carried her up. Also, one of the men retrieved her purse for her. Neither men stayed for recognition. The woman is ok. There are good people in this country.

My thoughts and prayers go out to all the victims, families, and the community at large. Please let me know if I can be of any support.

I've been glued to the tv as well. It is so disheartening that the efforts of divers have been suspended for now. I had hoped that they would have been out at daybreak but apparently it isn't so simple. My heart does go out especially to all those and families of the victims they have not able to get to yet. The tv coverage has turned to sensationalism this afternoon so I have finally turned it off and am focusing on sending good thoughts and prayers. It is something to see how the people came forward to rescue everyone they could when the bridge collapsed. That Minnesota Nice really works!
